Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition Soundtrack and iTunes
  • Hi all,

I completely forgot that my Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3 comes with a digital copy of the sound track, so I just downloaded it now and imported it into iTunes on my company MacBook Pro.

Not that it's the end of the world, but whenever I go to get the track names, iTunes pops up telling me:

"iTunes cannot get CD track names for songs that were not imported using iTunes.

To allow iTunes to look for CD track names for this song, import the song again using iTunes."

Now, I thought I did import it using iTunes, as the downloaded music files (.wav format) are all unzipped into a folder and I went to File>Add to Library to get them in there.

    Any thoughts/suggestions?
  • Hmm, I have never seen that error before. Though When I imported the ME 3 sountrack the songs were in a "various artist" folder and I had to manually set the info for each song so that they would jump into the proper folder.

You might just have to go through and manually change the names . Hopefully the tracks at least have track numbers so you cna look up the names for each track

By default, all tracks are listed with the track name and time, but no other details. Again, not the end of the world, just being picky with my organization of stuff.
  • Stop being so picky!
  • i know what you mean irl im a little messy but my itunes is pretty spotless

    Heh, it's my nature.
  • I think they changed how iTunes works when they brought out iTunes Match. I get match and had no problem importing it.

Howdy, Stranger!
