Lots, and lots of BF1. Love that game. Easy to just pick up. Allows me to play a match or two when i have 30, or 40 minutes to spare.

Played some Quake Champions. I suck at the game but its tons of fun.

  • Law212Law212 Centurion

Started playing Smite again. I like this morethan most games like it. I cant stand heroes of the storm but this one is way more fun. Anyone play it ? We should have a DOG Smite group

  • League is more my thing and I suck so bad at Smite but i'd be down to play
  • Law212Law212 Centurion

Well i havent played league but i hear its all free so i do like that. Smite you have like one free god and then free ones in rotation . You can buy the god pass which give you all gods and its on sale right now for about 16 bucks. I like how many characters there are and they seem to be well balanced.

I think league has a lot too. I should check that out one day but again i think its more like heroes of the storm .

Speaking of good free to play games, Quake Champions is lots of fun. Anyone into that?

  • Recently finally finished Prey, Gears of War 4, X-COM 2, Halo Wars 2. I've got Assassin's Creed Origins, Wolfenstein II, and Torment: Tides of Numenera as the next major games in line...

...but I've been messing around just trying out a lot of the free games on Xbox — and a friend brought his PS4 over for a while so I've been checking out the free games on there as well.

I'm always surprised more people don't even bother to try the free games... I'm following about 150 gamers on my Xbox, and my friends leaderboards of the free games will be empty, or just one or two people on it. I think my gaming habits have remained similar to the Commodore 64/Amiga days... back then you'd get so many games coming over from Europe that you'd never heard of... so I'd always fire them all up and at least give 'em a try. I tend to do that on Android too.

  • My kid is finally starting to get into gaming and she loves Minecraft, so we've been playing a ton of that lately.

  • I'm still trying to finish Prey so I can move onto Monster Hunter when it comes out next week but am having trouble finding the time for it

The fucking stock market. It's the wildest ride out there.

I went back to Mario world 3D on wii U last night. There are 3 stages on the final special world and i beat the first one which was one of those toadstool ones and it was easy enough, but the next stage ive lost over 120 lives on so far.

You have to beat it in one go , there are no checkpoints and the level is really freaking hard.

The next and final level is another one you have to finish in one go and you have to be quick and perfect for 20 stages.

If i ever manage to beat these last two levels, I will go back and try to beat all stages with all characters

  • man I cant get away from Hearthstone right now....it is nuts! It is like backgammon, chess, and poker all rolled into one.

Played some Street fighter 5. When this game released, it was bare bones and pretty disappointing. Especially compared to Sreet fighter 4..

Though a few days ago, they updated the game to Street fighter 5 arcade edition. Street fighter 4 also got a couple updates. Super street fighter 4 and then street fighter 4 Arcade Edition.

Arcade edition was a free update and it is how the game should have been released. Better online play, more game modes that people wanted including arcade modes based on previous SF games like SF 1 , 2 , alpha, 3, 4 and 5. IN those modes you can only choose characters that were in those games and you can unlock character endings that are straight out of those games, though updated slightly.

Definitely a great update and I think it will get me playing a lot more.

Then I played some Injustice 2. Enchantress came out recently but I haven't tried her out yet. Though I did go online and did OK using supergirl.

Online play is pretty good, though slight lag makes puling of moves that youre good at offline a bit tricky.

Lastly I played some Star Wars Dark Forces. Beat mission 3 and played a little of mission 4. Great old school game

  • I had a Battlefield itch to scratch but sadly the servers for BF3 are dead so I instead played Battlefield 1 and while it scratched that itch, holy shit can some of those games drag on.

  • Law212Law212 Centurion

I tried to play hardline last night . there was 1 full server but then it was gone when i was ready to play...
I ended up playing South Park the Fractured but Whole. Its fantastic

  • Law212Law212 Centurion

I played some Divinity Original sin 2. Not sure how long as time just flew by. I was really into it and finally left the first real area, Fort Joy. I know I missed doing a bunch of tings, but theats what great about this game, is that there are a few ways to complete things, and you miss things the first time through that you will find next time .

  • Monster Hunter is pretty much my whole life outside of work rn
  • I downloaded MHW as well.... incredibly beautiful

I have a feeling this could be the sleeper of the year....it is fun addictive... easy connect multiplayer... no loot boxes so far either...lol

  • It's by no means going to be a sleeper. The series has a humongous audience in both Japan and North America. I'd be surprised if it didn't sell a couple million in the first bit it's out.
  • Chances are the main reason for lower than expected sales is that a bunch of people are holding out for a PC port. That's the only reason why I don't have the game right now.

I think I'm about to leave Fort Joy in Divinity 2. The thing that really blows my mind in that game is the crocodile that can teleport.

  • Law212Law212 Centurion

So youre not far behind me in divnity. I left fort joy, but went back to get some things I missed. First thing I got was the face of that one reptile guy the red prince killed. Also I may kill alexandar

  • Law212Law212 Centurion

I went back to playing L.A Noire , because I want to finally finish it.

Its pretty addictive once you get into it. I figured I would just play through the missions, but then I got hooked on the stupid collector side missions.

One was a mission to find all the police badges around the city, the other is to find all the golden movie reels, and the other is to drive all the different cars in the game.

You also need to do 40 street crime missions.

The story is pretty good , the characters are really good and have their own personalities and great voice work and the facial animation is amazing.

I think ill finish the side missions before finishing the game. I have about 40 more cars to find, 20 more street crimes to do and about 45 movie reels to find.

  • Law212Law212 Centurion

I also played some Smite and my team won the first round but lost the second.

It was pretty fun. I need to play this more and get better

    Sintacs
  • DoosDoos Centurion

Played and finished the new re-issue of Shadows of the Colossus. I played it way back when it was remade but fell off it. Decided to give 'er this time and beat it in like 2 sittings. 7hrs or so. It was alright.

Lovely looking, shitty horse controls, made me miss Roach from Witcher. Movement is pretty lacking still after two remakes. But that's Team Ico for you.

  • Picked up Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning for $20 on steam....old school RPG with a pretty big cult following...was originally released on 360 I believe.

pretty basic but still fun and the graphics are decent on PC for a 2012 game

    I never liked that game.

I was playing a lot of Quake Champions last night though. I bought a new gaming mouse last night because my old one felt off. I felt like it was really inaccurate , and in quake champions i was getting 1 or 2 kills a match and low numbers in battlefield 1 as well.

Well after using this new mouse, my quake champions kills went to average 8 to 10 a match . The mouse definitely feels smoother and more responsive and accurate.

    I got this one.

interesting cause I bought the first game for 20 bucks 2 days ago at 75% off supposably.
thanks for pointing this out man....I only had three hrs in so I requested a refund and will purchase the entire thing for 10 bucks.... or just the original for $5. Will decide after the refund.

Loving the depth of Assasin creed Origin right now too.
It is a spectacular game and I find what Ubisoft is doing very interesting with NO more Annual releases.

Have you played the other assassisn creed games? I find lots of open sandbox games boring after a while but I do like Black Flag and Syndicate.
