Its like when a bunch of babies all get on the highway at the same time and drive really really slowly in all the lanes. it makes it impossible for anybody else to overtake them and drive to where they're going. traffic backs up for miles. in the case of a DDOS attack, the highway is the internet, the babies are babies, and you're someone trying to overtake them with somewhere to go (a website or whatever)
Bam. we're past our 2017 goal so ill unsticky this now. for the record our 2018 goal now stands at $150
Thanks! Another year of this community being self-sustaining.
I want to do a bunch of changes this year. Unfortunately this site is blocked at work for me at the moment too - ive got to see if i can get it unflagged at one point but too busy right now.
When i have it unblocked i'll be able to spend more time tinkering with the site and getting those improvements under way with all our community volunteers.
As anyone else installed or upgraded to Windows 10 Creators Update?
I formatted my system and clean installed everything this past Thursday
why are you going through all this? the days of having to format and clean install are long gone unless your system is somehow royally fucked.
What do you mean by "going through all this?" With Windows 10, formatting a system has become a complete breeze and can be done in half the time it used to be.
Upgrading is of course easier, but also has significantly more potential to lead to problems.
installing windows via USB is fast and a breeze, sure, but upgrading is even easier and to be honest you can't tell the difference once you do it. like at all. there isn't this problem with registry files etc you cite. I'm pretty sure you format your system more often than I reboot mine.
